The end of the semester is something most students either really like or do not like at all. The end of the semester can be very stressful for most students, as it is a time where there are many big projects and tests that are due. For some students these assignments can make or break their grades.
For senior Hannah Wendorff, having the motivation to continue studying and doing her homework towards the end of the semester has been the hardest part. For the most part, Wendorff has had a “pretty chill” first semester full of fun and entertaining classes.
“Second semester is going to fly by, and before you know it all of us seniors will be graduating,” said Wendorff.
Second semester is a very exciting time for seniors. For some it can be very scary as well, knowing that in a few short months they will be off on their own. No more high school is a scary thing to think about.
Wendorff is going to miss being a part of the Shawano swim team. She has really gotten to know a few new people and grow very close to them over her last few years of swimming together. Wendorff’s plans after high school are to go to college, although she is not sure where or for what yet.
Junior Jordyn Schmidt had a pretty good first semester. She had a few hard classes, but it definitely was not something that she could not handle. Schmidt is super excited for this last semester of her junior year.
“I’m getting one step closer to becoming a senior, and it is super exciting,” said Schmidt.
Schmidt has to keep reminding herself to do the big projects
and study for the big tests. Schmidt is going to miss having classes with her friends and teachers that were always there to help her when she needed it.
Everyone hopes that the end of the semester goes well, as well as the end of the year.
